Infobase is proud to announce that The World Almanac® for Kids has been selected as a winner of The ComputED Gazette’s 22nd Annual Education Software Review Awards (EDDIES) in the “Middle School Online Research Source” category. The World Almanac® for Kids also won an EDDIE in 2013.
According to The ComputED Gazette, the EDDIES “target innovative and content-rich programs and websites (including apps for iOS and Android) that augment the classroom curriculum and improve teacher productivity, providing parents and teachers with the technology to foster educational excellence.” In addition to The World Almanac® for Kids, two other Infobase resources were honored with an EDDIE this year: Learn360 (“Multi-Level Multimedia Resource Website” category) and The Mailbox® School & District (“Teacher Tools: Online Teacher Resource Collection” category).
A one-stop reference resource for intermediate-level students, The World Almanac® for Kids was recently relaunched with a dynamic new design, new and updated content, and exciting new features. The ComputED Gazette also honored The World Almanac® for Kids with the 19th Annual Best Educational Software Award (BESSIES) in the “Middle School Database Website” category in 2013.
